Chevrolet Trailblazer
Storm Chasing Vehicle
2007 - 2012

My chase vehicle for the seasons of 2007-2012 was a white 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer LT 4x4. This vehicle has the
latest technology for storm chasing as well as Electronic News
Gathering. This vehicle has the capabilities to perform "Rolling Live
Shots". This vehicle can travel down the highway during a thunderstorm
while broadcasting live feeds back to news media outlets. On board is
Mobile High Speed Broadband Internet, live radar, ham radio and police
scanners, weather observing equipment: temperature, dewpoint, humidity,
wind, and pressure sensors. There are 2 camera systems on-board, one
camera is mounted to the weather station in a bomb-proof housing on the
roof, the second is mounted to the dash but is able to be removed from
the vehicle and broadcast live video. Listed below is a detailed
list on equipment used on this vehicle. More photos will be added as
they are taken during the storm season.
